
Suzanne Pleshette was an American voice actor, actress and film actor. She was born in January 31, 1937, until January 19, 2008. 1. Pleshette began her career in theatre and started appearing in films in the late 1950s. She then appeared in prominent films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). She later appeared in various TV productions, mostly in guest roles. She played Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 of 1937. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager at both the Paramount Theater as well as the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
