Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota - journalist, author, CNN's "New day" morning program, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected to the Westport Country Playhouse board. Camerota is an journalist for 30 years, covered news stories worldwide and across the country. She won an Emmy Award in her early journalistic career, for her coverage of the detention of Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award for breaking the story of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford was appointed an honorary member of the board after serving on the board for 7 year. Anna Czekaj Farber, who currently serves as chair of the Westport board having served as a board member since 2013, also a new board member. Czekaj Farber will replace Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident, who was the chairperson of the board since October 2015. The board chair continues to serve as board chair, beginning in 2006. The Playhouse's trustees' board is comprised of 26 members.
