Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. She began training in kickboxing boxing wrestling and BJJ before making her first amateur appearance at 18, at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and subsequently went on a 3 fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round of each fight. After that, she went to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking her revenge on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia lost to Aspen through a unanimous decision. This left a mark on the amateur record of Ladd. Ladd bounced back from defeat with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to start her professional career. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's debut fight with a bantamweight. She beat Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission in the second round. The two fights were an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters earned an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie broke Ladd's streak of winning within 16 seconds. In the third round of UFC broadcast on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. Her most recent bout for the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a substitute fight. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.
